Alice (Hanes) Beardsley, 66, of Holton, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at home.

Sandra Harmon Woodward of Dunedin, Florida passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2008. She was the beloved wife of David Woodward.

David W. Stastny, 42, of Hesperia, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2008 at home.

Dolores I. Videtich, 77, of Hesperia, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 26, 2008 at her home.

Robert A. “Pete” Peterson, 70, of Greenville, North Carolina, died on Wednesday, May 28, 2008.

William Franklin Gross, Jr., 80, of Newaygo, passed away on June 1, 2008 at Transitional Health Services of Fremont.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 5 at 1 p.m. at the McKinley Funeral Home, Newaygo Chapel, with Rev. Judy Corey officiating. Interment will be in the Newaygo Cemetery. Betty Lou Head, 86, of Fremont and Green Valley, Arizona, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2008.

Ethel A. Umpstead, 72, of Hesperia, went home to be with the Lord as she was surrounded by her family at her home on Sunday evening, May 25, 2008.
Proverbs 31 reminds us that a virtuous woman is worthy of praise, that her children arise and call her blessed and her husband praises her too. Family and friends celebrated Ethel’s life at a memorial service on Friday, May 30 at Hesperia Baptist Church, with Pastor Tom Mackay officiating. A luncheon was held in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service. Interment was made in the East Hesperia Cemetery, where a private graveside service was held.
