Formerly of White Cloud

Marlene E. Vining, 74, formerly of White Cloud, passed away July 18, 2019 in Harker Heights, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at the White Cloud United Methodist Church, 1125 Newell St., on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 11 a.m.

 

JAMES PETROPOULOS
Missouri formerly of Fremont

James Walter Petropoulos, 57, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri (formerly of Fremont) passed away on Sept. 4, 2019 at Columbia University Hospital following a boating accident.

Services were held at his church, Ozark Chapel in Sunrise Beach, Missouri and Overland Park, Kansas for inurnment.

 

JACOB SAUM
Fremont

Jacob J. Saum, 84, of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019 at his home following a short decline in his health over the past year. 

Graveside services will be held on Friday, Sept.20, at 3 p.m. at the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Fremont with Rev. Father Peter Schafer presiding.

Friends may consider memorial contributions to the All Saints Catholic Church for memorial contributions in memory of Jake.

MARY LOU HOPKINS
Fremont

Mary Lou Hopkins, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday morning, Sept. 13, 2019 from the Newaygo County Compassion Home in White Cloud. 

The memorial service  was held on Monday, Sept. 16 at the Holton United Methodist Church with Pastor Matt Stoll officiating. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Ceton and Spectrum Health staff along with The Compassion Home in White Cloud and the director and staff for all of their care and concern towards mom and the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the The Newaygo County Compassion Home.

Joel William “Bill” Chapman, 78, went to be with his Lord and Savior suddenly on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019. 

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. at Second Christian Reformed Church in Fremont, 600 Apache Dr. with Pastor Vern Picknally officiating.

Visitation will be at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home in Fremont on Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 6-8 p.m. There will also be visitation at the Witzler Shank Funeral Home in Perrysburg, Ohio on Friday, Sept. 20 from 5-8 p.m.

A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Fort Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg, Ohio.
