Bonita E. Sturtevant, 95, of Newaygo, passed away on Dec. 26, 2019 in Fremont. 

Visitation and funeral were held on Dec. 30 at The Vine an Assembly of God Church in Grant  with Pastor Jamie Evans officiating. Burial will take place in the Croton Cemetery.

Fay Anne Favreau, 64, of Newaygo, passed away on Dec. 24, 2019 in Grand Rapids. 

The funeral service was held on Dec. 30 at Fields-McKinley Newaygo Chapel, with burial in the Croton Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

JOHN RYNBERG
Fremont

John H. Rynberg, 71, of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019 at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in White Cloud following a battle with Glioblastoma Cancer.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. The memorial service with military honors will immediately follow at 1 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Newaygo County Compassion Home.

Doris Jean Murray, 93, of Grant, was called home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday morning, December 30, 2019, from her home.

Funeral Services were held Friday, Jan. 3 at Northland Church of Christ, 9891 Mason Dr. Grant, MI 49327, with Christopher Rollston, Professor at George Washington University, and Mike Armentrout, Minister of Northland Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Ceme­tery in Grant.

Donations may be made to Northland Church of Christ in Doris’s memory.

KIRK HADLEY

Kirk “Captain” Lewis Hadley of Newaygo, 68, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019.

The family would like to thank both Spectrum Health Hospice and the Oncology Department of Spectrum Health at Gerber Memorial for their care and compassion towards Kirk during his illness.

A service was celebrated on Friday, Jan. 3.

Those wishing to offer expressions of sympathy may donate in Kirk’s name to Spectrum Health Hospice and Palliative Care, 750 Fuller Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 or to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital for cancer research, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

 

YVONNE HANSHUE

Yvonne C. (Tousey) Hanshue - The matriarch of her family, left this world at 85 years old, in the early morning on Dec. 30, 2019 to reunite with her beloved husband, Wade K. Hanshue, with family by her side.

At Yvonne’s request, family will be celebrating her life on Saturday, Jan. 11 at Fields-McKinley Funeral Home in Newaygo. Family is welcoming visitors from 10 to 11 a.m., with a memorial following at 11 a.m. After the memorial a luncheon will be served at the VFW Post 4249 in Newaygo.

Memorial gifts can be sent on behalf of the VFW Post 4249 Camp Trotter.

 

COYE PHILLIPS
Fremont

Coye Phillips, 74, of Fremont and formerly of Tennessee, passed away on Friday evening, Jan. 3, 2020 at his home.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in his home town at a later date.
